Many studies have demonstrated the effectiveness of improving the light extraction efficiency of organic EL and LEDs using moss-eye structures and micro-lens structures. A major factor that reduces the luminous efficiency of organic EL and LEDs is the phenomenon of total internal reflection. This occurs when light moves from a material with a high refractive index to one with a low refractive index.
